BP launches EV charging stations in China

The Client

BP is a multinational oil and gas company.

The Objective

BP is looking to find new ways to serve the growing Chinese market with innovative mobility solutions. Given the rapid growth of the Electric Vehicle (EV) market in China, consumers are demanding fast and reliable charging infrastructure.

The Solution

Leveraging our extensive connections and expertise, our team scouted for 40+ relevant startups. Using our proven frameworks to scout and validate startups, BP ultimately selected to partner with 66iFuel, a Chinese startup providing EV fast-charging services.

The Outcome

We guided the two companies through a successful pilot that resulted in 10 charging stations that can fully charge an electric vehicle within 30-60 minutes. This partnership enabled BP to launch its first super electric vehicle charging station in the Jiading District of Shanghai, China.
