Facilitating INTEC’s Partnership with Proto to Launch AI-Powered Holographic Banking Solutions

The Client

INTEC I.T. USA a subsidiary of Japan-based INTEC Inc., a provider of advanced digital technologies serving over 7,000 clients across multiple industries.

INTEC specializes in IT strategy, system development, outsourcing, and emerging technologies.

The Challenge

As Japan’s regional financial institutions face increasing pressure to balance high customer satisfaction with operational efficiency, INTEC sought to explore innovative solutions to enhance banking experiences.

Since 2022, INTEC has been researching holographic communication technology to revolutionize customer service by offering a more engaging and human-like interaction experience.

INTEC needed a technology partner capable of delivering a cutting-edge holographic communication solution that could be applied to the banking sector.

The Solution

Xploration Partners identified Proto Inc. as a potential strategic partner for INTEC and facilitated discussions between the two companies.

Proto’s Epic product, a leader in holographic communication, was of particular interest to INTEC for its potential applications in banking.

The Outcome

Through this partnership, INTEC and Proto collaborated on a proof of concept (PoC) to deploy AI-powered holographic bank employees.

As part of the PoC, Proto’s M device was installed at Yamagata Bank’s Yamanobe Branch, where AI avatar bank staff provided customers with real-time information on banking products and procedures through hologram technology. INTEC monitored customer interactions and analyzed touch panel operation history to refine the service and improve user experience.

This initiative marked the launch of INTEC Japan’s first AI avatar-powered banking customer service solution, showcasing the potential of holographic communication to enhance efficiency and engagement in financial institutions. The success of this PoC serves as a foundation for broader adoption of AI-powered holographic solutions across the Japanese banking sector.
